Time off and recovery period |
1. Receive the medical certificate/attestation from the worker and learn about his/her condition: his/her functional limitations, the status and duration of restoration of abilities 2. Check the availability of tasks in the department and, if necessary, in the organization, in order to evaluate the possibilities of returning to work |
|
First contact with the worker by the workplace |
3. Explain the upcoming medico-administrative management process and the activities that may result (periodic follow-up, document to be completed and provided, meeting with the physician, etc.). Note specific to the Quebec context: Inform the worker that the employer has an obligation to collaborate with the various actors in the RTW process. 4. Ask the worker if he or she wants to maintain contact with his/her workplace, manager or another stakeholder in the organization. If so, invite them to identify these actors. Inform the worker of the procedure generally used by the organization, if any, to establish communication between the actors in order to avoid any ambiguity. 5. Introduce the worker to the guides or tools put in place by the organization about reintegration into the workplace and encourage the worker to make good use of them 6. Compile absence/incapacity information on file |
|
Evaluation of the worker (abilities) and his/her work (job demands) |
7. See the actions planned for this purpose for the RTW coordinator if the HR person is performing this function |

Not applicable Note specific to the Quebec context: Take note of the temporary functional limitations indicated on the Temporary Assignment form. They will be the starting point for a possible reintegration process. |
